Ask Alan Tasker to quote:
- Do you want proofreading or fact-checking?
- What kind of manuscript is it?
- What is the word count?
- What are the deadlines?
- It’s usual to allow 1 month to 6 weeks for a long work
Alan has a wide general knowledge and a keen interest in words and their origins.
Alan’s professional working life was 18 years in a public library and 22 years at the Mitchell Library, State Library of New South Wales, where he assessed and collected offers of original materials (letters, manuscripts, diaries, photographs, etc) for the research collections. He now assists his wife, former publisher Cathie Tasker, in her freelance business of creative writing teacher and structural editor.
